SINAPSE is governed by a board of principals from each of the participating universities, and also benefits from the input of an International Advisory Board.

SINAPSE activities are overseen by the executive and management committees.

It also has five special interest committees, focusing on either research issues (molecular imaging, IT and image analysis, MR and translational research) and on skills development/training and commercialisation.
