The next Tri-Annual EPSRC Image Guided Therapies Network+ meeting will be hosted by the Institute of Medical Science and Technology (IMSaT), University of Dundee.

The main IGT meeting will be held on the 1st of November at Ninewells Hospital, which is internationally renowned for introducing laparoscopic surgery to the UK. Talks will include clinical experts from Ninewells, Scotland-based MedTech companies and the latest research from our Network members.

Ahead of the IGT meeting, on the 31st of October, from 12pm Network members will have the opportunity to tour some of our research facilities including:

  • The Clinical Research Centre (3T MRI, PET/CT scanner, a state-of-the-art surgical suite, patient consulting and overnight stay rooms)
  • IMSaT Facilities at Wilson House (imaging suite with a 1.5T MRI equipped with MR Safe Robotics and Focused Ultrasound systems, a surgical suite with C-Arm X-ray and diagnostic ultrasound)

In addition, members are also invited to attend a special lecture in honour of Professor Ian Donald, a Scottish physician who pioneered the use of diagnostic ultrasound in medicine. This year the lecture will be given by Professor Seb Ourselin, King’s College London.
