This is the SRS's first virtual meeting, coinciding with a programme celebrating 40 years of clinical MRI.
This year's McGibbon Speaker will be Prof Fiona Gilbert, speaking on "MRI past, present and future". Prof Gilbert started her radiology career in Aberdeen, responsible for the National Breast Screening Programme for Grampian. She worked with MRI research in Aberdeen, before moving to the University of Cambridge. She has published many papers and books on clinical MRI, particularly in breast imaging, and has held roles in RCR, SIGN, NICE, the Scottish Cancer Group and the MRC.
Our other speakers include Prof Francis Smith, who pioneered the clinical application of MRI in Aberdeen in the early 1980s; Prof David Lurie, Dr Mary Joan Macleod and Dr Gillian Macnaught on the latest developments of MRI and hybrid imaging; Dr Peter Mackenzie on medicolegal aspects of radiology and Dr Thillainayagam Muthukumar and Dr David Summers on clinical applications in MSK and neuroimaging.
Attendance at this meeting will be equivalent to 4 CPD points in to self-declared Royal College of Radiologists' CPD scheme.
