The BBC documentary “Andrew Marr: My Brain and Me”, in which the journalist and presenter Andrew Marr investigates current directions in stroke treatment four years after suffering a stroke himself, is available to view here.

The programme includes a segment (starting at 42:54) on a clinical trial of stem cell therapy for disabled stroke patients led by Prof Keith Muir at University of Glasgow. A patient enrolled in the trial is followed as he receives an injection of neural stem cells at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow, with his post-treatment progress reported at the programme’s end (56:14 – 56:23).
