This project aims to assess the lifelong impact of binge drinking behaviour on cognition using a number of behavioural and neuroimaging assays. The student will also be working in collaboration with One Year No Beer (OYNB), who are match funding the project, a company promoting alcohol abstinence and lifestyle change. One of the aims of the project will be to produce a number of experiments that can be delivered to the OYNB membership online and completed quickly, giving potential to sample from a participants around the world. Further, laboratory based testing at Stirling will employ the use of Electroencephalography (EEG) experiments designed to study the impact of memory blackouts on cognition.
