Prof Lurie made Fellow of ISMRM

Professor Lurie honoured as Senior Fellow of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine

Congratulations to Professor David Lurie, who has been made a Senior Fellow of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM).

Professor Lurie is Chair in Biomedical Physics at the University of Aberdeen, where he has worked since the early 1980s when he joined the team that built the world's first whole-body MRI scanner. His current research is focussed on the development and use of Fast Field-Cycling MRI.

ISMRM is an international, nonprofit, scientific association whose purpose is to promote communication, research, development, and applications in the field of magnetic resonance in medicine and biology and other related topics and to develop and provide channels and facilities for continuing education in the field. The award to Professor Lurie was presented at the virtual 2021 ISMRM Annual Meeting. Further details can be found here.
