The James Watt School of Engineering is wishing to appoint a research leader in the area of Ultrasonics. The successful candidate will initiate and grow a team which will form part of the Centre for Medical and Industrial Ultrasonics.

The area or areas of research may include:

  • clinical applications in surgery, imaging, diagnostics and therapy;
  • industrial applications in materials processing technologies, underwater sonar, and exploration technologies;
  • related software for signal and image processing and interpretation;
  • foundational technologies including ultrasound materials, transducers and devices.

The successful candidate will additionally be expected to take an active role in the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Future Ultrasonic Engineering, FUSE.
