Vacancy: MRI Research Radiographer at University of Edinburgh

MRI Research Radiographer at Edinburgh Imaging

The purpose of this role is to support imaging research as part of a multidisciplinary imaging team involved in many different research projects. The role will be neuro-imaging focused but there will be opportunities to be involved in all aspects of imaging research. The post holder will primarily provide radiographic support to projects but will also be expected to become part of the research team and therefore will take on other roles such as development of quality control processes, data management, image analysis, protocol development, teaching plus more.

The post holder will also act as part of the core team within the imaging research centre; taking on responsibilities with other centre activities (NHS support work, private patient scanning, design and delivery of training courses e.g. online MSc modules and other activities). Some flexibility is required as it is likely that staff will work between research sites at the University of Edinburgh. Also, due to the nature of research projects there may be a need to occasionally work flexible patterns to support “out of hours” scanning.
