Vacancy: MRI Superintendent Radiographer at University of Edinburgh
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a Superintendent Radiographer role for 1 year. This role is for experienced MR research radiographers looking to be actively involved in MRI research imaging projects within the Edinburgh Imaging group. Edinburgh Imaging facilities represent a partnership between the University of Edinburgh and NHS Lothian, delivering high quality imaging output for research and clinical services.
This University role is responsible for maintaining clinical and professional standards whilst providing comprehensive and effective day-to-day management of the radiographic service for the Edinburgh Imaging research MRI scanning facilities. The role is also central to the design, set up, ongoing support and close-out of imaging research projects funded from academic and commercial sources, plus delivery of NHS clinical services when using the Edinburgh Imaging MRI facilities at both the RIE site.
The post holder will be involved in devising and implementing an ongoing programme of research service development and training. The role includes responsibility for the safe use and efficient performance of the MRI modalities and auxiliary equipment.
The post will be based at University Edinburgh Imaging Facility RIE (embedded within the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh) on the BioQuarter campus.
