This is an opportunity to make a leading contribution to research into the asymmetric synthesis of new PET tracers for the imaging of synaptic vesicle glycoprotein 2A (SV2A), as well as the development of novel methods for radiohalogenation of arenes. Specifically, the post requires expert knowledge in the development of synthetic methodology and strategies for the preparation of organic intermediates and targets.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Prof Andrew Sutherland, in collaboration with Dr Adriana Tavares and Prof Seth Grant at the University of Edinburgh. Candidates should hold a PhD in synthetic chemistry and have extensive experience of multi-step organic synthesis and characterisation of complex organic compounds using standard analytical techniques.

Informal enquiries can be directed to Prof Andrew Sutherland ()
