This research post will focus on implementing and supporting the development of neuroimaging and genetic methods and analysis techniques for existing and future studies within the Division of Psychiatry at the University of Edinburgh. Imaging modalities focus on DTI, fMRI, resting fMRI and structural MRI data in combination with genetic / epigenetic data and detailed phenotypic measures. Existing studies focus on cohorts of patients and relatives with major psychiatric disorders as well as publically available datasets (e.g. UK Biobank and Generation Scotland). The overarching goal is to investigate underlying mechanisms of neuropsychiatric disorders, prediction, and stratification of disorders.
