The Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) at the University of Aberdeen is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer / Reader with an academic record of applying their research expertise to the medical sciences. The post is aimed at applicants who can demonstrate a significant and sustained record of research achievement within areas of core strength for the IMS, among which translational neuroscience including neurodegeneration is well represented by research teams in the Aberdeen Biomedical Imaging Centre. Other relevant areas for the post include neuroscience, microbiology, the microbiome and host-pathogen interactions, immunology, cancer, metabolic health including cardio-vascular disease, regenerative medicine in musculo-skeletal science, cell and developmental biology, and genome biology.
