The chiral oxime of 13H-dibenzo(a,i)fluoren-13-one

On the basis of single crystal diffraction analyses it is shown that conversion of 13H-dibenzo(a,i)fluoren-13-one into its oxime causes distortion of the aromatic framework because of steric crowding. The oxime is, in consequence, chiral.
