SINAPSE ensures access to high quality training across the wider imaging research community as well as encouraging and facilitating individuals from different disciplines to be part of a larger imaging collaboration. It runs a wide variety of seminars and courses, including eLearning modules, all of which are well attended by both academia and industry.
The SINAPSE education programme brings together the principals of biology, chemistry, anatomy, radiology, psychology, cognitive neuroscience, informatics and more, reflecting the multidisciplinary aspects of brain imaging.
A main aim of SINAPSE is to build the base of early stage researchers in medical imaging and to provide them with excellent training. It funds 24 PhD studentships and provides these students with a strong cohesive doctoral training programme between universities to develop their careers and establish future generations of imaging researchers in Scotland.
