1st meeting of the SINAPSE Psychology group

1st meeting of the SINAPSE Psychology group, St Andrews, 16 January 2017

The winter sun was shining in St Andrews for the 1st meeting of the SINAPSE Psychology group. Attendees enjoyed a midday walk along the pier (sans red gowns) and the beach, between an excellent morning session with short talks presented by early career researchers Dr Donald Lyall, Dr Paul Hoffman, and Dr Mel McKendrick, and an excellent afternoon session with talks on PhD research projects presented by Alex Mitchell, Salim Al-Wasity, and Simon Ladouce.

The meeting concluded with an open discussion session on future plans for this SINAPSE topic group, which are to include more activity on our website Member Area (log-in required) and SINAPSE-PSYCH mailing list. On the basis of positive feedback about the friendly and informal format of an event with opportunities to receive input on projects in progress or practice presentations, we are already looking forward to organising our next meeting around the same time next year. All researchers from around Scotland who use imaging methods (including MRI, fMRI, EEG, and MEG) in Psychology research are welcome to join us!
