The 8th annual SANON-SINAPSE meeting, now called SINAPSE Neuro-oncology, will be held in Glasgow. Following a very successful meeting in Edinburgh last year, with an excellent turnout from across all main centres in Scotland, we are aiming to continue to develop opportunities for collaboration, sharing our knowledge and resources to maximum effect.

The 2018 meeting will continue to develop a Scottish ‘Network of Excellence’ for imaging research in neuro-oncology. The meeting will be of most value to researchers involved in imaging in neuro-oncology.

Scientific sessions will focus on imaging the genetics and metabolomics of gliomas. We will have a number of excellent speakers joining us including:

Prof Eric Aboagye of Imperial College, London, talking about probing glioma metabolism in vivo

Prof Susan Short from University of Leeds, giving an overview on key research topics and clinical trials

Dr Igor Vivanco from the Institute of Cancer Research, London, speaking on pre-clinical glioma metabolism
