Roland Sutton Academic Trust award for Scotland-Taiwan research collaboration

SINAPSE researchers and Taiwan colleagues awarded funding for international research collaboration on diffusion MRI data analysis

Funding from the Roland Sutton Academic Trust has been awarded to Dr Gordon Waiter from the University of Aberdeen, Dr David Dickie from the University of Edinburgh, and Professor Wen-Yih Isaac Tseng from National Taiwan University, in support of an international research collaboration on diffusion MRI data analysis.

The award will fund data access, storage, and computing costs for a project to study the mechanisms of age-related changes in brain structure using data from UK Biobank, following on from a visit to Prof Tseng's lab in May 2016 made by Dr Waiter and Dr Dickie. The award will additionally fund international exchanges between Scotland and Taiwan in support of the collaborative project.
