1. Clinical Sessions:

These will be dedicated to the use of different techniques and hands on stations by experience senior UK-wide faculty. Case based discussion will be used appropriately.

2. Simulation with Thiel Cadavers:

This simulation will include endovascular techniques. The Cuschieri Skills Centre has pioneered the use of Thiel embalmed cadavers in Interventional Radiology and this is a unique facility in the UK. Using a cardiac pump, flow is achieved in the arteries of the cadaver and endovascular procedures can be simulated in a lifelike fashion.

3. Simulators:

A variety of computerised simulators will be available for the delegates to learn different IR techniques. Simulators for EVAR deployment, angioplasty and stenting along with embolization techniques will be available.

4. Clinical Scenarios Training:

A series of clinical skills scenarios will be integrated into the course. This will include clinical simulators for emergency training as well as outpatient based consulting rooms with actors.
