2020 SINAPSE ASM Update: Virtual Meeting

12th SINAPSE Annual Scientific Meeting to be held as a virtual meeting on 19 June 2020

In light of continuing developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 SINAPSE Annual Scientific Meeting can no longer be held at University of St Andrews this June. However, the event is moving to a virtual meeting that will still highlight the latest developments in clinical and experimental imaging for researchers across Scotland. We are very pleased to confirm that the meeting programme still features a keynote lecture by Prof Uta Noppeney from Radboud University, as well as numerous proffered presentations from SINAPSE members.

For ease of participation, the ASM will now take place as a one-day event and will remain on the saved date of 19 June 2020. Registration will be free for all. Details are soon to follow of an interactive online event platform that will enable live presentations with audience Q&A, breakout sessions, one-to-one networking chats, and even virtual exhibitor booths.

Although it's unfortunate that current circumstances require suspension of in-person gatherings until the COVID-19 situation can be controlled, the SINAPSE Executive Committee has agreed that our network should still benefit from keeping in contact and sharing research progress, using technology to allow remote participation that also delivers benefits for environmental sustainability. The carbon footprint of our ASM this year will be its lowest ever! We look forward to welcoming imaging researchers and trainees across Scotland (and beyond) to participate in the first virtual instalment of what always proves to be an informative and stimulating meeting.
