The MRC Precision Medicine Doctoral Training Programme provides PhD research training alongside taught courses over four years of study, focusing on training in key MRC skills priorities in quantitative skills (mathematics, statistics, computation, and developing digital excellence) as applied to variety of data sources, and interdisciplinary skills including imaging and stratified medicine.

The programme includes the following imaging-related research projects offered for 2018 entry at the University of Glasgow:

Understanding associations between cardiometabolic and brain health using Mendelian randomization in UK Biobank

Utilising MRI-derived tissue characteristics and deep learning to segment high-resolution functional brain activity in neuroscientific experiments

Predictive factor analysis via redundancy clustering with application to mental health outcomes in a clinical high-risk group
