On 14th February 2017, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal opened two new Edinburgh Imaging facilities at the Queen’s Medical Research Institute (QMRI) and the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (RIE). Further details on the opening event can be found here.
The facilities officially opened by HRH Princess Royal, who is Chancellor of the University of Edinburgh, include the following newly installed imaging systems:
- Siemens MAGNETOM Prisma 3T MRI scanner at RIE
- Siemens Biograph mMR scanner at QMRI, the first MR PET system in Scotland
